KOICA Azerbaijan Office is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms. Park Kumok as Country Director of the KOICA Office in Azerbaijan. With over 17 years of work experience, Ms. Park Kumok brings with her a strong skill-set and an excellent reputation for relationship building, high performance and team leadership.
The New Country Director pledges to actively carry out ethical and human-rights centered management by doing works with integrity and transparency.
She noted that as an international development aid agency, KOICA helps our partner countries achieve socio-economic development in a sustainable way so that our world becomes a better place to live in together. She stressed that with this framework in mind, the KOICA Azerbaijan Office actively engaged in a variety of projects and activities in Azerbaijan that promoted the wellbeing of the people of Azerbaijan in collaboration with both central and local governments, civil society, other partners and people themselves.
Currently, KOICA Azerbaijan Office implements a variety of development programs: grant aid projects including the Project with the Ministry of Education on “Teachers’ Capacity Building and Establishment of Education Information System for the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan” and technical cooperation, which includes global and country specific trainings and scholarship programs and dispatch of experts etc.
Ms. Park emphasized that she hopes KOICA will continue to support Azerbaijan and the relationship and cooperation between two countries would continue to flourish. At the end she noted: “I believe that Azerbaijan and Korea have many common things and great opportunities in development cooperation. Through mutual partnership, I am confident that we would be able to achieve “Happiness for All, with Global KOICA””.
