The heads of Azerbaijani diplomatic missions abroad visited on 18 August the refugee camp Galagayin in Sabirabad, Trendreports. 2,189 refugee families mainly from the Armenian-occupied Azerbaijani districts Zangilan, Fizuli and Jabrayil. The ambassadors visited the houses where the IDPs reside to get familiar with their living conditions.
Gurban Sadykhov, an official of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers, said that at the moment there are 3 refugee camps throughout the country 1 in Sabirabad and 2 in Saatly, where 4,179 families reside. He also noted that a decree signed by the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, all refugee camps will be removed shortly. The governmental food assistance was rendered to 140,000 refugees a month.
Vagif Sadykhov, the Deputy Foreign Minister, said that the diplomat will take with special visual materials prepared there.
In the end the diplomats gifted 5 word processors to 5 schools for refugees.
