Karabakh Liberation Organization Accuses US Department of State

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) assessed the changes made under the influence of the Armenian Government and pro-Armenian diasporas to the report of the US Department of State as devotion of the USA to Armenia. For this reason, KLO made a statement on 23 April.

Firstly the document reflects the truth of the occupation of the Azerbaijani land, including Nagorno-Karabakh, by Armenia. Immediately after the official distribution of the document, the occupant Armenia and Armenian lobby gavetheir strongreaction and expressed their goal to make changes to the document. "It once again confirms that the USA is under the influence of the Armenian lobby and assist only in ensure the requirements of the Armenians. The USA, as other members of the OSCE Mink Group, Russia and France, take an open pro-Armenian position. The KLO once again stated that there is no point to hope that the Minsk Group in Nagorno-Karabakh will settle the conflict," the statement read.

Armenia has occupied 20% of the Azerbaijani lands including Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven Districts of the country surrounding it. Since 1992 to the present time, these territories have been under the occupation of the Armenian Forces. In 1994, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a cease-fire agreement at which time the active hostilities ended. The Karabakh Organization Committee (KLO) was founded in Baku on 28 January 2000 with an objective to conduct a public struggle for the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh from the Armenian occupants. The organization headed by Akif Nagi, the candidate in historical sciences, unites over 10,000 people, including outstanding representatives of intelligentsia, refugees and internally displaced people, youth, former fighters, senior ranking officers in reserve, as well as different social members of the population.
