( dpa ) - A number of major paintings including works by Cezanne, Degas, van Gogh and Monet were stolen from a Zurich museum at the weekend, police confirmed Monday.
The works, worth an estimated 100 million francs (91 million dollars), were taken Sunday afternoon but the gallery has not yet been identified.
It is the second major art theft in Switzerland in just a few days.
On Thursday two Picassos worth an estimated 4 million dollars were stolen. The works been loaned to an exhibition in Pfaeffikon in central Switzerland by the Sprengel museum in Hanover, German.
