Two helicopters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan left for Russia Wednesday to help extinguishing fires. Helicopters MI-17 and Ka-32A with four personnel on board (19 people) are flying to Voronezh and Lipetsk, Ashraf Gasimov, director of MES aviation group, told reporters Wednesday.
The Azerbaijani helicopters are to work in Russia for two weeks, but the ministry is ready to extend the period of work in Russia and to increase the number of equipment and personnel if necessary, Gasimov added.
"Helicopters will begin to extinguish fires on Thursday," Gasimov said.
