Azerbaijan prevented an attempt of sneaking drugs hidden in pieces of chicken to a prisoner.
Narcotic substance - 3,251 grams of heroin was revealed in the pieces of chicken when inspecting a parcel brought to a prisoner of the Prison Service No.1 Rovshan Agayev by Isgender Mehdiyev on Feb.7, Justice Ministry's Prison Service Public Relations Department said.
Agayev, born in 1979, was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment under Articles 181.2.2, 181.2.3, 181.2.5 (burglary committed repeatedly; with illegal penetration into dwelling, premise, warehouse, or other storehouse and causing damage to the victim in significant size) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
The fact is under investigation.
