M ore than 200 were heavily damaged and 15 people were injured , the press - service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations said , RIA Novosti reported.
Two tremors measuring 8 and 3.5 occurred in the Batken region , southern Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday night. Their epicenter was located at 52 kilometers east of the regional city of Batken and just seven kilometers from the Sovetskoe village. As a result, tens of thousands residents of Kadamjay region of the republic left without electricity .
