Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / An Iranian citizen was killed at the Azerbaijani-Iranian border. Two Iranian citizens tried to illegally pass the border. They were warned by frontier guards, but they paid no attention. As a result, the frontier guards open fired. One violator disappeared, another was killed.
The report was proved by Azerbaijani Republican Prosecutor's Office. The identities of the Iranian citizens are not yet known, the spokesman for the Republican Prosecutor's Office, Afrahim Tahmazov, said.
A criminal case was filed in this connection at the Lankaran Region Military Prosecutor's Office in accordance with Article 318 (illegal passing state border of Azerbaijan Republic) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
