Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Some parties will be removed from the Azerbaijani Tereggi Alliance (ATA), Chingiz Damiroglu, the chairman of the bloc, said to Trend Agency on 17 September.
The bloc unites 21 Azerbaijani opposition parties. The alliance is a structure of these parties cooperation.
Damiroglu noted that some parties represented in the bloc changed their position and support the authorities. For this reason they will be removed from the bloc in the near future. "We aim to function as an opposition party," Damiroglu said.
Some eight parties want to join ATA. Negotiations are being held.
Ten parties are represented in the bloc and have received state registration.
