Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / On 9 October, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, at the Presidential Place received credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Azerbaijan, Frank Girkens. During their conversation, the President qualified the establishment of the Belgian embassy in Azerbaijan as a sign of a high-level partnership between the two countries. He expressed hope that Girkens' ambassador activities will serve further development of bilateral relations.
Girkens thanked President Aliyev for the warm words, noting that the establishment of the Kingdom's embassy in Azerbaijan will give an impetus to enhancement of bilateral cooperation.
