Azerbaijani CEC Urges Elections Constituencies to Approach Responsibly to Complaints to be Received on Elections Day

Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 August / Trend corr. E.Babayev / The Azerbaijani Central Elections Commission's (CEC) chairman urged elections constituencies' employees, who are responsible for examination of applications and complaints, to approach responsibly to complaints, which will be received on the elections day.

"All complaints should be immediately examined in accordance with the law," Mazahir Panahov, the CEC's chairman said at the training, which was held for elections constituencies' employees, who are responsible for examination of applications and complaints, in connection with Rules on examination of applications and complaints, held on 21 August.

Training is being held together with the CEC, the Council of Europe Venice Commission and the International Fund for Elections Systems. A total of 65 employees of elections constituencies will participate in the training to be held on 21 and 22 August and 60 employees - on 25 and 26 August.

According to Panahov, objective of the training is to improve skills of the elections constituencies' employees. "The training will play an important role in holding democratic elections," he said.
