Iran’s and Malaysia’s views on international issues coincide: Iranian President

Iran, Tehran, Dec. 22 / Trend , A.Namdari /Official Tehran and Kuala-Lumpur have common views on international issues, the Iranian President said.

The meeting of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Malaysian PM Abdullah Ahmad Bedevi took place in Tehran on Dec. 22. The issues on bilateral relations, international problems and Islam countries were touched upon at the meeting. "The Iran Islamic Republic is prepared to develop cooperation with Malaysia in all spheres," Ahmadinejad said.

The development of relations between Iran and Malaysia will benefit to the two countries and Islam countries, a spokesperson from Iranian presidential administration said.

"The views of Iran and Malaysia coincide on international problems and this increases the responsibility of both countries on international issues and before the Islam world," the Iranian president added.

Iran and Malaysia cooperates in the spheres of agriculture, study of new technologies, energy, food, struggle against terrorism and drug. "There are no obstacles in the development of bilateral relations between Iran and Malaysia," Ahmadinejad said. The cooperation between Iran and Malaysia is an example for other Muslim countries, Bedevi said. Bedevi supported Iran's intension to invest into different spheres in the country.
