Passengers on domestic flights on Turkmen Airlines will benefit from studying a newly published handbook about childcare while on board, a source at UNICEF said.
The handbook is part of an initiative launched in 2007 with the Turkmen Health Ministry and Turkmen Airlines to inform passengers about the children's health issue while traveling.
The latest edition of the handbook titled "Advice for Parents" will be placed in the rear pockets of seats and be available for passengers. The brochure will educate parents on how to prevent children from getting diarrhea, coughs, colds, HIV/AIDS and suffering from trauma. Readers will also learn about the benefits of breastfeeding, nutrition, immunization, hygiene, early progress and promoting children's rights.
According to recent monitoring, passengers considered earlier editions of the handbook to be trendy.
The new edition was compiled using the recommendations of passengers.
UNICEF expects the innovation will contribute to childcare.
