Russian and Turkish Presidents will meet in Kremlin on Feb. 13. That will be the first meeting between two countries' presidents over the past three years. Agenda of the meeting is very rich. According to the Milliyet newspaper, trade between Turkey and Russia in their national currencies - lira and ruble -is among a wide range of issues to be discussed. Gul will touch upon the problems faced by Turkish producers at Russian customs points, possible projects on energy cooperation and peace resolving to the situation in the Middle East. Meeting between Dmitry Medvedev and Abdullah Gul is expected to raise bilateral relations to a qualitatively higher level, particularly in the field of economics.
President Abdullah Gul will leave for Moscow today. He will pay an official visit at the invitation of Russian President Medvedev. Gul will meet with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, and plans to visit Tatarstan. Turkish and Russian Presidents will discuss political relations between the two countries and situation in the Caucasus.
