EU special representative for South Caucasus arrives in Tbilisi again

European Union special representatives for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby paid his next visit to Tbilisi today. At the moment he is negotiating with representatives of the radical opposition Nino Burjanadze, Salome Zurabishvili and Kakha Kukava.  

The opposition leaders said they intend to discuss situation in Georgia with Semneby. "Special emphasis will be laid on the fact that police beat peaceful demonstrators on June 15 which is gross violation of all laws. We will also say that authorities squander country's territories as in case of Mamisoni where 20 kilometers of territory was handed over to Russia," Burjanadze said prior to the meeting.

Semneby will also meet with the representatives of the Georgian authorities, members of parliament from majority and parliamentary opposition.

This is Semneby's fifth visit to Tbilisi for the last two months.
