Azerbaijan & Turkey not to have flag problem anymore: Azerbaijani parliamentary chairman

Azerbaijan and Turkey will not have flag problem anymore, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Committee on International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Samad Seyidov said at a meeting with the Turkish parliamentary delegation in Baku.

Azerbaijan and Turkey will not have flag problem anymore, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Committee on International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Samad Seyidov said at a meeting with the Turkish parliamentary delegation in Baku. 

The Turkish and Azerbaijani flags have always been raised together. The countries had a flag problem because of certain issues. Azerbaijan and Turkey will not have a flag problem anymore, Seyidov added.

During the Turkey-Armenia football match in Bursa, which took place on Oct. 14, the Azerbaijani flag was taken away from fans. Due to the incident on Oct. 15, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry submitted a protest to the Turkish Embassy. Ankara called insulting the Azerbaijani flag provocation and punished the police officer in Bursa.

On Oct. 15, the flags of Turkey and Azerbaijan around the memorial to the Turkish soldiers located at the Martyrs Alley were removed. The Turkish and Azerbaijani flags were also removed from the front of the Council for Religious Affairs of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan

On Oct. 28 at 01.30 the flags of Azerbaijan and Turkey again were raised near the memorial to the Turkish soldiers.
