The Georgian special services arrested 15 people today accused of spying for Russia.
Procedural agreements were concluded with two of the detainees.
The Interior Ministry's Security Service Department has finished a large special operation called "C." As a result, relations were revealed between the head intelligence service of the Russian Defense Ministry's General Staff and dozens of people, the ministry told Trend.
The security service recruited a former Soviet Army officer to work at the Russian intelligence service as part of the operation. He was able to win the confidence of Russian military intelligence officers and began to work as a messenger. He received special equipment and computer programs to allow him to spy and encrypt secret information. He delivered the device and program to the security service. Afterward, it became possible to study the specifics of the head intelligence service's work.
About 15 people - nine Georgian citizens and four Russian citizens - were arrested as a result of the operation. Nothing was reported about the citizenship and names of the two individuals released according to procedural agreements.

Bakur Kiguradze, the founder of the Institute of Globalization, is charged with espionage. According to the ministry, he delivered information about Georgia's military cooperation with foreign nations.
Vyacheslav Luzhnikov, Georgian Air Force pilot, is charged with espionage. According to the ministry, he delivered information about military aircrafts and flight schedules.
Gabriel Ustalishvili, Georgian Air Force pilot, is charged with espionage. According to the ministry, he delivered information about military training and mobilization resources.
According to the ministry, David Meskhidze, Georgian Air Force pilot, is charged with espionage. He delivered secret information about military exercises and inspections.
According to the ministry, Gela Kakabadse, Georgian Air Force pilot, is charged with espionage. He delivered secret information about personnel, weapons, military equipment and transport.
According to the ministry, Gocha Diasamidze, Georgian Air Force pilot, is charged with espionage. He delivered secret information about operational combat training.
According to the ministry, Tarel Abashidze, Georgian Air Force pilot, is charged with espionage. He delivered secret information about secret military facilities and work structures.
Ruslan Galogre, businessman, is charged with joining a foreign intelligence service. According to the ministry, he spied on a number of individuals.
According to investigators, Eduard Abdullayev, a sailor, is charged with espionage. He provided information about military communications and radar systems.
Russian citizen Armen Gevorgyan, the general director of the Seybolk branch in Georgia, is charged with espionage. He delivered information about operational military cooperation between Georgia and other countries.
Russian citizen Ruben Shikoyan, the deputy director of the Seybolk branch in Georgia, is charged with espionage. He delivered information about secret deals between the Georgian Defense Ministry and various companies.
Russian citizen Petr Devrishadze, businessman, is accused of spying on certain individuals on behalf of the Russia intelligence services.
Russian citizen Yuri Skripnikov is accused of disclosing secret information.
