Montenegro and Azerbaijan have good and friendly relations, Prime Minister
Milo Djukanovic and Azerbaijan's newly appointed Ambassador Eldar Hasanov agreed during their meeting in Podgorica on Monday, the statement of Montenegro government says.
The PM expressed hope that the two countries would continue advancing political dialogue and developing comprehensive cooperation, particularly in the field of economy. In this respect, he announced the organization of a business forum of Montenegro and Azerbaijan, aimed at further promoting the two countries' partnership.
Congratulating Montenegro on its contribution to the Balkans' stability, Ambassador Hasanov noted that he would make every effort to achieve the strategic partnership between Montenegro and Azerbaijan. He also underlined the great interest of Azerbaijani investors in Montenegro, especially in tourism, infrastructure and privatization.
Expressing regret over the latest floods in Montenegro, Ambassador Hasanov stated that Azerbaijan would send assistance to the flood-affected population.
The Ambassador conveyed to PM Djukanovic an invitation from Azerbaijani leaders to visit Baku.
