Iranian province’s governor meets Azerbaijani Consul General in Tabriz

The head of the Iranian province of Western Azerbaijan Vahid Jalalzade met Azerbaijan's Consul General Ali Alizadeh on Wednesday in Tabriz, Iranian MEHR news agency reported.
During the meeting, Jalalzade said that the province of Western Azerbaijan was interested in participating in the construction of roads in Azerbaijan, adding that since the province borders three states, it has great potential for developing relations with the border regions of neighboring countries.
Jalalzade congratulated the President of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic's Supreme Majlis Vasif Talibov in connection with his reelection to the post and invited him to pay an official visit to Western Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani Consul General said that there were friendly relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, which have deep historical roots.
Alizadeh further said that the two countries had great potential in developing relations in all spheres and Azerbaijan was interested in cooperating with Western Azerbaijan in the fields of sport, agriculture and industry.
