Issues of introducing amendments to laws and codes in connection with the entry into force of the law "On the acquisition of land for public use" were considered at a Friday meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Policy of the Azerbaijani Parliament.

Amendments will be made to 14 different codes and laws, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian Policy Eldar Ibrahimov said.

Amendments should be made to the Forest Code, Land Code, the Code of Administrative Violations, Tax Code, Housing Code and other legislation.

Amendments to the law "On Agricultural Cooperation" were also discussed at the meeting.

At the spring session of the Azerbaijani parliament draft law "On Agricultural Cooperation" will be debated in second reading, Ibrahimov said.

The delay in discussing a draft law that was passed on first reading a year ago, causes public discontent, he said.

"That's why taking into account the suggestions made at this session, after discussion in the committee this bill will be recommended for consideration at the plenary session," Ibrahimov stressed.

He said there were some issues with the law, which are already being solved. "In April the committee plans to submit for discussion this bill, taking into account the suggestions made. We will try it to be adopted soon," the chairman of the parliamentary committee said.

Views of some international organizations, and even professionals, representing the opposition were taken into account, Ibrahimov noted.
