BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. African nations firmly believe in the pursuit of a fair and equal world, Mauritanian journalist Abdarahmane Wone said at an international conference in Baku on "France's Neocolonialism Policy in Africa", Trend reports.
Wone emphasized that African countries are among those most affected by the remnants of French colonialism.
"This colonial state hinders our women and children from living with dignity. A policy of discrimination is imposed on us, treating us like slaves. We believe we will win this war against colonialism. I hope our communities will unite, understand what this war is about, and ultimately prevail," he added.
To note, an international conference focused on France's neo-colonial policy started its work under the organization of the Baku Initiative Group on October 3.
The conference is attended by representatives of African countries (Senegal, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Guinea-Bissau, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mauritania, Zimbabwe, Niger), as well as France and the island of Mayotte enslaved by France
