BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. Azerbaijan has consistently been a reliable partner in the international arena, Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova said at today's session of the parliament, Trend reports.

Gafarova emphasized that Azerbaijan's endeavors for peace and stability are indisputable.

"We take pride in our country's position. Azerbaijan's role as a dependable partner is demonstrated in our bilateral relationships with various nations and our contributions to addressing global challenges that concern the world. The hosting of COP29 and the work being done in this context are clear examples of this. Our unwavering efforts for peace, stability, and cooperation are indisputable. It is also important to recognize that Azerbaijan conducts an independent domestic and foreign policy, guided solely by its national interests, ensuring its territorial integrity and sovereignty. In this context, I want to remind everyone of a statement by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev: 'No one can dictate to us or interfere in our internal affairs. We will do what we deem necessary,'" she said.

The Speaker added that MPs also addressedtheir concerns to Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov regarding a letter from a group of US Congress members to the Secretary of State.
