Perspectives of Azerbaijan-UNIDO discussed in Vienna

Perspectives of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) were discussed in a recent meeting of the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev, with UNIDO’s leadership in Vienna within the framework of the 11th session of the organization, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry announced.

Mammad-Guliyev informed the participants in the gathering about Azerbaijan’s position on further activities of the organization.

The Deputy FM held some meetings with the UNIDO General Director, Kandekh Yumkella, as well as Austrian governmental officials, in particular, representatives from the Chamber of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Economy and Labor, the co-chair of the Azerbaijani-Austrian intergovernmental commission. The talks focused on the cooperation between the two countries in all spheres. The two sides also mulled the organization of the next meeting of UNIDO in Baku.

Mammadguliyev met with the permanent representative of Belgium at OSCE, Ambassador Bertran Krombrugge, the special representative of the OSCE on fighting with human trafficking, Helga Conrade. The talks focused on exchange of opinions on continuing cooperation between OSCE and Azerbaijan under the protection of human rights and economic indices.
