The Democracy Forum of Baltic and Black sea countries will gather in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 4-5 May, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Trend.
The will be dedicated to processes of democratization, improvement of cooperation among the neighboring countries and experience in this sphere. High ranking officials from approximately 20 countries, including Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania, Germany, Southern Caucasus and Scandinavian countries, have been invited to Vilnius with this respect.
The preparations for the summit were discussed during short-term visit of Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus to Baku in October. Besides, the topic was on focus in a meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenian, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia held in Brussels in December 2005.
