Last meeting of PACE spring session starts on Thurs

The last meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will discuss the implementation of the resolution taken at the third summit of the Council of Europe The CE-EU relationships, a correspondent of Trend reports from Strasbourg. Terry Davis, the Secretary General of the CE, and Elmira Brok, the chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the European Parliament are expected to make remarks to the gathering.

Urgent discussions on the issue Belorus after the 19 March presidential elections in 2006 will held at 15.00 [Baku time].

Discussions on Report 10 835 on Refugees and IDPs in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia developed by a Latvian MP, Boris Chilevich, is scheduled to start at 17:00 [Baku time] and last by the end of the day.

35 changes have been put forward on the issue (18 by Azerbaijan delegates, 1 by Armenian delegates and 16 by different delegates, mainly by Dutch MP Leo Platvoed).

The session will complete its work at 18:30 [Baku time] with a meeting o the PACE Bureau.
