The agreements on activities of Russian peacemakers do not contain anything about visa regime. The Russian Defense Minister, Sergey Ivanov, made statement to a news conference in Baku on 3 May. He was commenting on the results of a meeting of CIS Defense Ministers in Azerbaijan

Rotation of peacemakers is implemented once a half-year. In difference to Georgia, we hold the term. Georgia carries out rotation rather frequently. There is no plan on rotation. Rotation will be carried out in the way it has been carried out over the past few years via the Roksk pass, Ivanov underlined.

The Russian peacemakers function in Georgia on the base of relevant agreements, while as to South Osetia, they were active since the beginning of 1990s within the framework of a mixed control commission.

I hope the peoples of Russia and Georgia will succeed to normalize the interstate relationships between he two countries, as it has been over the past centuries, the Prime Minister concluded.
