The Government of Azerbaijan considers it necessary to accelerate the formation of the electronic Government in the Country, Ali Abbasov, Azerbaijan`s Telecommunication & Information Technologies Minister told journalists today, Trend reports.
According to him, the project on electronic government has been worked out under the assistance of the World Bank (WB) and the Korean Government. At present, a feasibility study of the project is underway. The formation of electronic government is considered to be a new stage in the state management, pointed out the Minister.
According to the Minister, negotiations on the development of IT in Azerbaijan are expected to be held in Baku next week. Negotiation will be held within the International Telecommunication Exhibition BakuTel 2006 Conference.
