Georgian Economic Development Minister: Developments around Georgia Will Further a Better Development of Country in Future

That what Russia is now undertaking toward Georgia is certainly a problem. They do all possible not only to hurt Georgia`s economy, but also throttle the whole country. But they will fail, Irakly Chogovadze, Georgian Economic development Minister told in Baku today.

Business is doing its serious work, pointed out the Georgian Minister. According to him, if foods are not delivered from Russia, then they will be delivered from other region. It will be a little bit more expensive or, on the contrary, cheaper. In September this year, Georgia has introduced the zero custom rate on 90 percent of foods. We have the second rate after Hong Kong`s one. Georgia is seriously entering Turkey`s business its small-scale and medium sphere. And I am very happy that Azerbaijani business have already come to Georgia, he pointed out.

And the things are not only in the import. Georgia is establishing enterprises working for export markets, told Mr. Chogovadze.

We will have an effect. It might a hurt one in a short-term outlook, but then it will trigger a better development of Georgia, pointed out the Georgian Minister.
