On December 21, a hearing will take place in Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament], dedicated to the woman problems, Trend reports with reference to the Press-Service of the Parliament.
It was stated that the event is carried out within the campaign of the Council of Europe under slogan Fight with violence against women. The event will be attended by the relevant ministries and state bodies. During the hearing, exchange of views will be held on the relevant legislation on preventing the violence against women, enlightenment of people, importance of CE member-countries demonstrating political will in this sphere, gender equality, etc. At the conclusion, the Parliament will pass a special statement regarding the discussed topic.
