Azerbaijan Refutes Information on Warning regarding Possible Violation of Air Borders by Iranian Helicopters

Azerbaijan , Baku / corr. Trend A.Ismaylova / Azerbaijan refuted information that it had received notification from the Iranian side on possible violation of air borders of Azerbaijan .

According to the Chief of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, Elchin Guliyev, on 23 February at 10:30 in the morning, helicopters accompanying the President of Azerbaijan, illegally passed over the border of Azerbaijan several times. An immediate warning was made to the Border Commissioner of Iran . Thereafter, the Military Attache of the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan was informed on the incident.

The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan prepared a special appeal and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan , Khalaf Khalafov, who is on a visit to Iran , will raise this question.
