Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 March / corr. Trend K. Zarbaliyeva/ A doctor of the clinic has been detained for the sale of a newly-born baby.
Israfilova Tarana was arrested as a result of the operations conducted by the employees of the Department for Fight against Human Trafficking, Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan said on 18 March.
Israfilova, taking part in the criminal conspiracy in December 2006, sold a newly-born baby to the native of Tovuz region of Azerbaijan living in Pakistan for $2,000.
A case has been filed against the doctor.
