Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 21/ Trend , E. Ergun/ Turkish national football squad former captain welcomes performance of Turkish footballer in Azerbaijani teams.
"I welcome Turkish players' transfer to Azerbaijani teams. I would like Turkish specialist to head Azerbaijani national squad as well," Turkish national football squad former captain Bulent Korkmaz said in a press conference in Baku.
Korkmaz came to Baku at the invitation of Azerbaijani Baki football team on Feb. 20.
He said infrastructure must be improved to develop Azerbaijani football.
"Galatasaray did not have appropriate football field 20 years ago. We were losing all our matches. But Turkish football developed due to rights measures," footballer added.
Korkmaz said limits must be defined on the number of foreign players in Azerbaijani teams. "In this case, not everyone who wants to make money, only experienced foreign footballers will come to your country. Young foreign players must be invited. You have too many foreign players in your national squad," he said.
