Schoolboy reporting false information on bomb sentenced in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani court sentenced schoolboy who reported false information on terrorism.

The court sentenced the 10-form pupil Orkhan Musazade, who is accused of providing false information on existence of an explosive substance at secondary school, to four months in prison, a source at the Court on Heinous Crimes told Trend on June 8.

On February 24, 2009 Musazade called from his mobile phone to school 12 of Mingachevir city, where he got education, and informed about the bomb, placed at school. The schoolboay was arrested on the same day.

Musazade is accused under article 216 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (obviously false information about the pre-explosion, arson or other actions that jeopardize human life, causing significant property damage or have other socially dangerous consequences).

The schoolboy accepted his guilt.

This year more than 20 calls on false information on placement of bomb were registered in Azerbaijan.
