A Georgian archaeological group will leave the country for Kuwait today.
Kuwaiti National Council of Culture Secretary General and Art Bader Al-Rifai and Georgian National Museum General Director David Lortkipanidze signed an agreement on joint work on Dec.24.
In accordance with the document, the museum will conduct archaeological excavations on Failaka Island in Kuwait in the course of two months every year.
Fifteen Georgian scholars and students will take part in the excavations.
The project is fully funded by the Kuwaiti side.
