Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office spreads information on explosion at Mingachevir HPS

The Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office has spread information in connection with the explosion that occurred at the hydroelectric power station in Mingachevir.
"Based on information received from the city police department of Mingachevir on the fact that as a result of an explosion at the Mingachevir HPS on March 30 around 11:00 locksmith Parviz Jabbarov was killed, and master Juma Suleymanov received burns, the city prosecutor and the prosecutor's office staff with the assistance of a forensic expert and police officers inspected the scene and the body," the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office said on Saturday.
The city prosecutor's office brought a criminal case under article 162.2 (violation of safety rules) of the Criminal Code.
A forensic medical examination has been appointed and other necessary investigations conducted on the fact.
During the initial investigation it was found out that during the repair of the power plant vat with bitumen exploded. As a result of the explosion Parviz Jabbarov died on the spot, and Juma Suleymanov who received burns was placed in a central city hospital.
Criminal investigation continues.
