A seminar on the state of freedom of speech and press in Azerbaijan will be held in Switzerland.
Chairman of the Press Council of Azerbaijan Aflatun Amashov will also participate in the seminar which will be held before the Eurovision in Geneva, which will discuss the state of freedom of speech and press in Azerbaijan.
The event dedicated to the International Day of the press, which is celebrated on May 3, is initiated by the European Broadcasting Union.
The event will include representatives of the world's most influential media and human rights organizations. Representatives of nongovernmental organizations will also participate. The participation of official representatives of the Azerbaijani state is expected.
The seminar is scheduled to hold at the headquarters of the European Broadcasting Union in Geneva on May 2.
