Trend: Trend International News Agency of Azerbaijan and the Kabar National News Agency of Kyrgyzstan signed a cooperation agreement in the sphere of information exchange on Nov.8 in Bishkek.
The document was signed by Trend Director General Ilgar Huseynov and Kabar Director General Kubanichbek Tabaldiyev.
According to the document, the parties will maintain a regular exchange of active information and analytical materials, as well as photographs of the political, economic, social, cultural and humanitarian life in Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan and beyond. The parties also intend to work closely to ensure information support for the visits of heads of states and official delegations, as well as other interstate actions and events held in the two countries.
The document was signed within the Third Media Forum of the Turkic-speaking countries and communities being held on November 8-9 in Bishkek. Secretary General of the Media Platform of Turkic-speaking countries and communities Murat Karakaya and Head of the Press Council of Azerbaijan Aflatun Amashev attended the signing ceremony.
Kyrgyz National News Agency Kabar is the oldest news agency in the country. It was formed on the basis of KyrTAG, which was founded in 1937. KyrTAG was transformed into the state-run news agency KyrgyzKabar in 1992, and in 1995 it became the Kyrgyz National Agency for Telecommunications and Information Administration Kabar. In 2001, it became the Kyrgyz National News Agency Kabar.
The purpose of Kabar includes the collection and operative dissemination of objective information about important events in the political life of the country and other countries.
