Winner of the Türkvizyon song contest Farid Hasanov intends to continue representing Azerbaijan adequately in the future, the performer told Trend on Monday.
Hasanov who tried to represent Azerbaijan in the contest said: "I thank everyone who contributed to holding the Türkvizyon song contest and all the organisers."
Hasanov who really wanted to represent his country said he is glad he came first.
Azerbaijan won the first and only music contest of the Turkic world, Turkvizyon with 210 points on Saturday. Azerbaijanian Gunes representing Belarus ranked second.
Some 24 countries including Azerbaijan attended the contest organised by the TMB channel, as well as TURKSOY and the Eskisehir 2013 Cultural Capital of Turkic World Agency. Some 12 member countries managed to get into the finals.
Yeni ulduz contest finalist Farid Hasanov represented Azerbaijan by performing the Yasa song.
The next Turkvizyon contest will be held in Kazan, chosen as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2014.
