In order to identify cases of violence, a hot line should be created in Azerbaijan, as well as shelters for persons subjected to violence should be provided, the chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Hijran Huseynova said at a joint meeting of parliamentary committees of the Azerbaijani Parliament on Nov. 6.
Huseynova noting that this practice is used in many countries of the world, added that special programs should be provided for people affected by violence.
"There are no state centers to help such persons in Azerbaijan. There are ten such non-state centers in the country, of which only two are permanently functioning," the chairman of the committee said.
