BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. Work aimed to improve the social and living conditions of Azerbaijani military personnel serving in a high mountainous terrain is underway, Trend reports via the Ministry of Defense.
Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and other officials of the ministry inspected a number of combat positions on sections of the state border [with Armenia] in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar and Lachin districts [liberated from Armenian occupation as a result of the 2020 second Karabakh war] and inquired about the social and living conditions of the military personnel serving there.
The officials were informed that all conditions have been created there for the high-level organization and conduct of the combat duty during day and night time. Observation posts are provided with modern technical equipment.
Hasanov met with the military personnel, inquired about their concerns, and wished them success in their service.
The minister set specific tasks on organizing combat duty and further increasing the combat capability of the troops before the relevant officers.
Then he inspected the new military facilities in Kalbajar and Lachin districts. During the inspection, he was informed that the necessary conditions for the military personnel in the military infrastructure have been created taking into account modern requirements.
Hasanov was also informed that the buildings within the infrastructure are provided with modern equipment, furniture, and inventory to meet all the necessary needs. There are a weapons room, a dormitory, a dining room, a kitchen, a medical center, food and storage facilities, a bathroom, and generators that provide uninterrupted electricity to the area.
Then the ministry’s leadership inquired about the conditions created for storage, operation, and quality of maintenance of vehicles kept in the park of military units.
After getting acquainted with the conditions created at the maintenance and repair points equipped with modern facilities, the minister was informed that all conditions had been created to provide technical maintenance to military equipment and vehicles. It’s planned to provide seasonal maintenance of military equipment and vehicles at the points.
Hasanov instructed the personnel to fully comply with safety rules during the work to be carried out at the maintenance and repair points, as well as gave instructions on other important issues.
In the end, the minister inspected the progress of construction work in several military facilities in Kalbajar and Lachin districts, gave relevant instructions and recommendations on the high-level conduct of the work.
