BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 24. The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has amended the resolution of January 19, 2001, “Excise rates on excisable goods imported into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” Trend reports.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a new resolution in this regard.
According to the new resolution, the excise tax on each liter of champagne imported to Azerbaijan was reduced from 5.1 ($3) to 2.7 manat ($1.5), the excise tax on each liter of undenatured ethyl alcohol (with an alcohol concentration of 80 volumes of percent and more) and undenatured ethyl alcohol (with an alcohol concentration of 80 volumes of percent and less) was raised from 6 ($3.5) to 6,8 manat ($4), and the and the excise tax for each liter of alcohol tinctures obtained as a result of the distillation of grape wine or grape pomace was increased from 8 ($4.7) to 8.8 manat ($5.1).
