BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnasts have claimed success at the international Alma Cup tournament, held in Almaty on August 13-16, Trend reports.
Azerbaijan was represented at the tournament by several athletes.
Azerbaijan was represented by Zahra Jafarova (senior category), Fidan Gurbanli, Sofia Mammadova, Ayan Sadygova (pre-juniors), Nur Sadigova, and Alina Kolesnikova (juniors).
Gurbanli won a gold medal in the all-around competition (49.500 points).
She scored 25.650 points in the clubs routine, and her ribbon routine was rated 23.850 points by the judges.
The gymnast also received the Miss Grace award.
Besides, Sadigova also won a gold medal and the Miss Grace award.
She took first place in the all-around competition (51.950 points), performing with the hoop (25.450 points) and the ball (26.500 points).
Among the juniors, Alina Kolesnikova also stood out, reaching the top of the podium.
She won the all-around competition (44.150 points), performing with clubs (25.250 points) and ribbon (18.900 points).
