BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. Recent global events highlight the urgent need to prioritize cybersecurity solutions, Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alekperov said during the "International Cybersecurity Days" (ICSD-2024) conference, Trend reports.
"The topic of cybersecurity in the context of a green economy is one of the most relevant issues today, making it essential to pay attention to these matters. Both the green economy and cybersecurity are becoming increasingly significant worldwide. While these two areas may seem different at first glance, they are closely interconnected. Balancing these fields is crucial for development," he noted.
Alekperov explained that the green economy is a concept that combines economic growth with environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources.
"The primary goal is to cut carbon emissions and develop renewable energy sources to achieve this reduction. With the establishment of a green economy, increasing job opportunities, implementing environmental standards, and boosting investments in new technologies are becoming increasingly pressing," the deputy minister added.
