Azerbaijan has great perspectives in fighting with counterfeit medicine, Trend reports quoting Victor Dmitriyev, the chairman of the CIS interstate commission on standardization, registration and control over quality of medicine, as stating on 21 April.
The falsification of medicine on different parameters varies from 5% to 10%. It was the key topic of discussion in a meeting with the Azerbaijani specialists, Dmitriyev.
Under the CIS a draft agreement including two levels of activities in this direction. The project envisages operative information on exchange of opinions to reveal facts of falsification, establishment of legal basis for fighting with trafficking, training of specialized personnel in this direction.
The head of the commission voiced his satisfaction in connection with the last reforms in the sphere of health in Azerbaijan, especially, the establishment of an Innovation and Supply Department for resolution of problems related to poor quality medicine.
