Blood samples of Azeri Citizen Suspected of Bird Flu Sent to Laboratory

The blood samples of the inhabitant of the village of Boyag of Neftchala district of Azerbaijan, Zeynalova Zamina born in 1969, who was hospitalized at the Scientific-Research Institute of Lung Diseases on February 2nd on suspicion of bird flu, has been sent to the PZR laboratory of Baku, Trend reports referring to the Health Ministry of Azerbaijan. The results are expected in the near future.

The initial diagnosis is bilateral pneumonia. Presently she is in a critical condition, the same source stated.

Earlier the London laboratory of the World Health Organization announced the absence of the bird flu virus in the blood sample of a deceased inhabitant of Salyan district of Azerbaijan.
