Ruslan Panasenko, with 14.98 points came second last in the long jump race. Namik Asadov ran the 800 metres first race where he took 24th place completing the race in 1.56 seconds leaving behind Turkish competitor Matin Altintena. Pavel Setin was unable to take part in the competition due to thigh damage.
