Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / The trial of Azerbaijani Azadlyg newspaper initiated by an employee of the Baku State Traffic Police, Gafar Abbasov, was postponed for an indefinite period at the Baku City Yasamal District Court presided by Judge Fakhraddin Aghamirzazadeh on 3 August.
According to Yasamal District Court, as the Judge is moving offices, the trial was postponed for an indefinite period. Aghamirzazadeh has been appointed Judge of Azerbaijani Court Martial.
An employee of the Baku State Traffic Police, Gafar Abbasov, has reported of abuse of his honour and dignity in the publications of the Azadlyg, and is demanding the newspaper be fined AZN 50,000 and to refute the information.
