A bulk of sales of the MiMobile LLC falls on online sales, Manager Business Development of MiMobile in Azerbaijan Jumshud Aliyev, told Trend.
Since about 2018, the company has developed its website for accepting payments online by connecting the appropriate payment modules.
“At the beginning of 2020, we introduced the payment through taxit cards with a payment split of up to 18 months,” Aliyev added.
He noted that online sales grew by about 50-60 percent from January through October 2020 compared to the same period in 2019. In total, sales of the MiMobile increased by 12 percent.
“Despite the growth in sales, MiMobile, like some other companies in our country, faced problems due to COVID-19. Firstly, these are the problems associated with the production of devices directly in China, the problems of supply associated with logistics, hence the prices of transportation on average increased 2-3 times,” said the commercial director.
He noted that neither the pandemic nor martial law in the country affected the pricing of goods.
“We didn’t change the final prices, and at times even reduced them, as sales went down. We're not yet planning anything new until the end of the pandemic and quarantine measures since now we need to maintain the pace of sales, try not to reduce their volume, and keep the team,” Aliyev said.
