Around 148,580 tons of grain and products of its processing were exported from the Saratov and Samara regions of Russia to Azerbaijan from January through July 2021, Trend reports citing the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor).
According to Rosselkhoznadzor, a total of 496,200 tons of grain and products of its processing were exported from these regions.
“Azerbaijan's share in the Saratov export of wheat and barley accounted for 135,400 tons. During the reporting period, 13,180 tons of wheat, barley and yeast were supplied from the Samara region to Azerbaijan,” the federal service said.
In the first quarter of 2021, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia increased not only compared to the same period of 2020, but also exceeded the indicators of the pre-pandemic 2019.
