Volume of cargo turnover of Turkish Adana airport revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Volume of cargo turnover of Turkish Adana airport increased by 50 percent in May 2022 compared to the same period last year and amounted to 17,189 tons, Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.

According to the ministry, airport's cargo turnover on local flights increased by 36 percent in May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 12,922 tons, while the cargo turnover on international flights increased 1.1 times compared to the same period and amounted to 4,267 tons.

Passenger traffic at the airport increased by 64 percent in May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 1.4 million people.

At the same time, on local flights it increased by 49 percent to 1.2 million people, and on international flights - by 3.6 times to 196,728 people.

According to the ministry, number of flights performed from Adana airport increased by 56 percent in May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 16,404.

At the same time, number of local flights increased by 40 percent to 14,000, number of international flights increased by 3.6 times up to 2404.

Passenger traffic at all airports in Turkiye amounted to 56.9 million people in May 2022, and cargo turnover – 1.3 million tons.

Passenger traffic at all airports in Turkiye amounted to 128.3 million people in 2021, and the cargo turnover – 3.3 million tons.
